Sony Ericsson ST25i
While this is not the first time we've heard of this exotic fruit name bearing handset, we haven't had the pleasure of seeing it in a clear picture yet. Until today that is. Sony Ericsson ST25i "Kumquat" has emerged in a spy photo and it looks, well, quite familiar.

The upcoming smartphone looks a lot like the highly anticipated Sony Xperia S flagship, which got announced at CES this year. Its specs however, have been toned down a bit.

The device is rumored to feature a dual-core CPU, clocked at 1GHz and a 5MP snapper. The screen is reportedly in the 3.5" range, and has FWGA resolution.

Expect to see the Sony Ericsson ST25i "Kumquat" get unveiled at MWC in Barcelona next month under a Sony name. As always, we will be covering it live, so expect the full scoop on the device as soon as we get it.

I hope the new article about Sony Ericsson ST25ican increase your knowledge about the latest development in mobile phone. The price of the phone depending on the brand, model and specifications.

New Samsung S5222 Duos dual SIM phone coming soon
Samsung is getting ready to launch a new dual SIM phone, namely the GT-S5222 Duos.

Unlike the Galaxy Y Duos and Galaxy Y Pro Duos (both unveiled last month), the S5222 is not a smartphone. It does have a touchscreen display, though (3 inch, QVGA), and TouchWiz UI. Other features: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, stereo FM radio, Samsung ChatOn, Opera Mini, 3MP camera, and 1GB of internal memory.

The new handset doesn't seem to have 3G connectivity.

Most probably, the Samsung S5222 will be first released in emerging markets, where it's likely going to be a hit (if the price isn't too high, of course). Maybe Samsung will bring the handset at MWC next month - we'll try to find out more about it if this happens.

Samsung Galaxy Nexus Smartphone Review

Mobile phone is an electronic telecommunications device that can be taken everywhere (portable, mobile) and do not need connected to the telephone network using a cable (wireless) but has the same basic capabilities with conventional fixed-line telephone. In this blog you will find the latest news about the specifications, prices and news about the new mobile phones. The following are recent articles about Samsung Galaxy Nexus Smartphone Review, please read below.

Samsung Galaxy Nexus Smartphone Review
Android fans have been eagerly waiting for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus because it is the first device on the market powered by Android 4.0. Otherwise known as Ice Cream Sandwich, this new version of Android merges the tablet (Honeycomb) and smartphone (Gingerbread) versions of Google's popular OS into one version that will be used across both types of devices. I was lucky enough to get my hands on this phone for a few days, so let's take a look at one of Verizon's latest Android smartphone.

Before I begin, I will mention that I do not live in or very close to an area with 4G LTE coverage. I was only able to test the phone with a 3G connection.

Hardware Specs

OS: Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich

CPU: 1.2GHz Dual-Core Processor

Memory Internal: 32GB

Carrier: Verizon

Network: CDMA/PCS/1xEVDO Rev. A: 800x1900 MHz,LTE: 700 MHz

Data Speed: LTE, EVDO Rev. A

Display: HD Super AMOLED™ 4.65" contoured display, 1280×720 pixels

Rear-facing Camera: 5.0 MP

Front-facing Camera: 1.3 MP

Bluetooth WiFi

Battery: Lithium Ion, 1850mAh

Battery Standby 150 hours (6.25 days), Talk Time (hours) Up to 12 hours

Dimensions: 5.33" x 2.67" x 0.37" inches

Weight: 5.1 ounces

As you can see from the image above, the Nexus is a big boy when you compare it to an iPhone 4S. Although it is a large device, it doesn't feel or look out of place when used as a phone.

The Nexus has a gorgeous 1280×720 resolution display that is bright and crisp. It has vivid colors but isn't cartoonish like other Samsung Android phones that we've seen in the past. The 4.65 inch display takes up almost the entire front surface of the phone. A strip at the bottom of the display is devoted to 3 (and sometimes 4) touch sensitive buttons. From Left to Right, the buttons are Back, Home and Task Switcher. When appropriate, a 4th button will appear on the Right that has three small vertical square blocks. This is the Menu button.

While the phone is in idle with the display turned off, there is a status LED that will slowly pulse when there's a new email, text message or you've missed a call.

Above the display is the front facing camera.

The back of the Nexus has the camera lens and LED flash. It's a little disappointing that Samsung opted to use a 5mp camera instead of an 8mp camera which seems to be the norm these days. That said, the camera captures decent pics and is crazy fast with no shutter lag whatsoever.

The back of the phone has a thin piece of flexible plastic that is easily removed to reveal the battery compartment and 4G LTE SIM card slot. In my short time with this phone, I found battery life to typical in that I would need to charge the phone once a day with light to normal use. It's tough for me to offer concrete data about battery life since I've only been using this phone in an area with 3G and absolutely no 4G coverage. In my experience with other smartphones, I would say that the Nexus used power slightly quicker than HTC Rezound that I tested last.

You'll notice that the Nexus does not have a microSD card slot. That's a bit of a bummer, but the phone does have 32GB of storage, which makes the lack of a flash card slot less painful.

If you look closely at the side of the Nexus, you'll see that the display is slightly curved. Samsung claims that this will make the phone more comfortable against your cheek when you're on a call. Hmmm… I don't know about you, but I've never noticed my flat phones as being uncomfortable against my face.

The Left side of the phone has the volume rocker button which has good tactile feedback and sticks up high enough that your thumb tip can easily find it when you're on a phone call.

On the opposite side you'll find the Power button and electrical contacts for an optional dock.

On the bottom edge is a micro USB connector for charging and connecting to your computer. You'll also find the microphone and headphone jack.

I had a rude awakening when I plugged the Nexus into my iMac to transfer some files and found that the phone does not support the USB mass storage feature that I've been accustomed to using with every Android phone that I've owned over the years. At first I thought it was Android 4.0′s fault because it uses the MTP (Media Transfer Protocol) file transfer standard which is plug and play compatible with Windows machines, but not OS X machines.

In order to transfer files to and from the Nexus with my iMac, I had to install a special file manager app. Bleh! After a bit of research, I came to learn that it's not exactly Android 4.0′s fault. Other 4.0 devices will support USB mass storage. The reason that the Galaxy Nexus does not support USB mass storage is because it does not include a microSD slot. As long as an Android 4.0 device has a removable flash card, it will support USB mass storage.

In hand, the Galaxy Nexus is comfortable to hold due to the rounded sides. Although the phone is light weight, it is solid and easily passes my patent pending gadgeteer squeeze test with no flexing, creaking or cracking. It's a big phone though, so it's not really pocket friendly.

Performance wise, this phone is very snappy. That shouldn't come as a surprise since one of the best things about the Nexus is that it hasn't been “polluted” with a lot of carrier bloatware and interface special sauce like HTC's Sense and Motorola Blur.

Let's take a look at a few of the new features that Android 4.0 offers.

The default lock screen isn't too different, but you do have the option to use the front facing camera and your own face to unlock the phone. It's kind of fun to play with and worked well for me. It falls back to a pattern matching unlock screen if the stored face isn't recognized.

The app view scrolls left to right instead of up and down. In the image above you can see all the stock apps.

Here is the 2nd page of apps minus the Tiny Tower and Where's My Water games that I installed. There are only two apps that have been added by Verizon and if you don't want to see them you can actually disable them. Disabling does NOT uninstall them though, it just removes them from the app view. But, I was happy to see that Android 4.0 offers easier app removal now. Instead of having to go into the settings/applications area to uninstall an app, you can just tap and hold the icon for the uninstall option.

Also added to the app view are your available widgets. You can scroll through them just like you can your apps.

There is also a button in the top right corner for quick access to the App Market.

Here we see the dialer interface.

Your favorites dialing screen reminds me of the Windows 7 phone interface.

I didn't have any issues using the Galaxy Nexus to make and receive calls. I've read that it can have problems with 3G connectivity, but I didn't find that to be the case during the time I've been using the phone. In my area, 3G coverage is very good, so I rarely experience problems with dropped calls and the Nexus was no different in that regard. Call audio was clear and volume was very good even when I made calls from my basement with only 1 bar signal strength.

Browsing the web on the Nexus is a joy. My iPhone feels pretty cramped after using the Nexus! The browser feels pretty snappy too… even under 3G.

Another cool feature that I haven't been able to test because I don't know anyone else with a Nexus is the new Beam feature.  It will let you easily share contacts, websites, apps, maps, directions and YouTube videos with other people close by. The phone has NFC (near field communication) and when held near another NFC enabled Android 4.0 phone you can touch to beam and share. It kind of reminds me of the good old days when you could beam contacts and even apps back and forth to Palm OS devices.

All in all, I like the Samsung Galaxy Nexus quite a bit. If I were in the market for an Android phone right now, it would be the one I would probably buy even though it lacks a microSD card and I would have to deal with the annoying lack of the USB mass storage feature. Except for those 2 things, I love the huge display, snappy performance and quick camera. It's definitely the phone to have right now due to the latest version of the OS and pure Android goodness.

I hope the new article about Samsung Galaxy Nexus Smartphone Review can increase your knowledge about the latest development in mobile phone. The price of the phone depending on the brand, model and specifications.

Fujitsu ARROWS ES IS12F waterproof phone
[CES 2012] Fujitsu leads the way in terms of fashionable Android-powered phones that are waterproof – their latest model being the Fujitsu-Toshiba ARROWS ES IS12F, where it will be made available to KDDI au in Japan. Despite being waterproof, you will not be able to tell it with a glance, considering how svelte it is at just 6.7mm thin. After all, waterproof devices tend to be part of the rugged variety, and those are normally not thin at all. What about the system specifications? Fujitsu has packed in the Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread operating system coupled with a snappy 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8655 processor. A 4″ AMOLED display with 480x800 resolution and 100,000:1 contrast ratio will certainly please your eyes, even when you are underwater and need to scroll through your text messages.

1GB ROM, 512MB RAM, a 5.1-megapixel CMOS camera, Bluetooth 2.1 and WiFi connectivity, DLNA support, an e-wallet function (NFC), an integrated digital TV tuner and a microSDHC memory card slot for expansion purposes rounds off the list of features. Fret not if you do not know any Japanese, as the Fujitsu ARROWS ES IS12F will also come with an English menu system. No idea on pricing details though, but do enjoy an image of it swimming above.

Motorola Droid 4 Announced

Mobile phone is an electronic telecommunications device that can be taken everywhere (portable, mobile) and do not need connected to the telephone network using a cable (wireless) but has the same basic capabilities with conventional fixed-line telephone. In this blog you will find the latest news about the specifications, prices and news about the new mobile phones. The following are recent articles about Motorola Droid 4 Announced, please read below.

Motorola Droid 4 Announced
Motorola and Verizon Wireless have just announced the newest version of their epic line of Droid phones: the Motorola Droid 4. The duo are claiming the device is the thinnest 4G LTE QWERTY Smartphone on the planet. If that’s a tongue twister you can’t tie your noodle around, let me put it in more basic terms: the Droid 4 is only half an inch thick and has a full 5-row slide-out keyboard and 4G connectivity. Pretty impressive.

Some quick Droid 4 Specs:
  • 1.2GHz processor
  • 1GB RAM
  • Android2.3.5 (Android 4.0 coming soon)
  • 4.0-inch qHD display
  • Scratch and scrape resistant glass, water-repellant nanocoating for splash resistance
  • 8MP camera with 1080p video
  • HDMI mirroring
  • MotoCast
  • 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot support (up to 8 devices)
  • Water-repellent nanocoating for splash resistance
  • 16 GB on-board memory
  • MicroSD slot
There will be a line of accessories available for compatibility with the Droid 4 including a 10.1-inch lapdock, 14-inch lapdock with webcam, HD Dock, HD Station, and Vehicle Navigation Mount. Pricing and availability have not yet been announced, but are expected to come in the following weeks.

My opinion is torn with the Droid 4. I used to be a huge hardware keyboard proponent who couldn’t live without one. The Droid 4 performs what seems to be magic by cramming a full 5-row QWERTY Keyboard into a .5-inch thick frame with a solid set of alterior specs. But personally, with tremendous growth of touchscreen accuracy and performance, I’ve found my own interest in hardware keyboards to wane.

I still see the huge benefit of them for different use cases, but for the average consumer I think 4.0-inch+ touchscreens and greatly improved display input and technology have pushed hardware keyboards onto their last leg in terms of mainstream mobile adoption.

I hope the new article about Motorola Droid 4 Announced can increase your knowledge about the latest development in mobile phone. The price of the phone depending on the brand, model and specifications.

Fujitsu launches ARROWS ES IS12F smartphone in Japan
Fujitsu has taken a bit of a liking for making ultra thin smartphones. After the Arrows F-07D announced back in November, the thinnest smartphone in the world with just 6.6mm thickness, the Japanese manufacturer is back with the new ARROWS ES IS12F Android smartphone.

Unlike the F-07D, the ARROWS ES IS12F is not exactly the thinnest smartphone, losing that title by a mere 0.1mm. It does however manage to be water resistant and has a sturdy Gorilla Glass on the front.

As for the specifications, the ARROWS ES IS12F will run Android 2.3 on a single core 1.4GHz CPU, 800 x 480, 4.0-inch AMOLED display and a 5.11 megapixel camera that can capture 'Hi-Vision' videos, which we assume means high definition in plain English.

The phone will be sold in two colors: Ruby Red and Gloss Black and is on sale right now in Japan.

Sony Ericsson Nozomi leaked ahead of CES
The Sony Ericsson Nozomi, (touted to be the Xperia arc HD) has been leaked in the past before, but now it looks like we've got the clearest pictures of the device yet. The folks over at ITProPortal managed to get their hands on a set of images showing off the Android smartphone in all its glory. In addition to images of the phone, some pictures showing its benchmarking results were also posted, revealing the specs of the phone.

According to the pictures, the Sony Ericsson Nozomi is running on Android 2.3.7 Gingerbread, is powered by a Qualcomm 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon MSM8660 processor, a 12-megapixel rear camera, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. There is no support for microSD cards on the phone and it makes use of a Micro SIM card as well.

The rear of the phone certainly doesn't look like the Xperia ion that was leaked earlier so it should be a different device (in case you guys were wondering) - though it's possible these leaked images don't show the final phone and Sony Ericsson might have made some changes since then. It won't be too long until CES 2012, so we'll find out soon enough.

I hope the new article about Sony Ericsson Nozomi leaked ahead of CES can increase your knowledge about the latest development in mobile phone. The price of the phone depending on the brand, model and specifications.

The next Sony Ericsson Xperia teased, could it be the Arc S

The next Sony Ericsson Xperia teased, could it be the Arc S
Today we got the third teaser about the upcoming new Xperia phone. It will be announced on CES in Las Vegas in a few days.

Unfortunately, all three teases show a device awfully similar with the arc/arc S rather than highly awaited arc HD, codenamed Nozomi. We already met the Nozomi/arc HD and it looks nothing like the previous Xperia arc phones.

Here are the three teasers so far, so you can see for yourselves.

And here is the Xperia Nozomi a.k.a. arc HD.

So, we could be wrong but it seems to us Sony Ericsson is preparing to announce the US version of the arc S, rather than the dual-core arc HD. If this scenario really happens, the arc HD will be most probably unveiled on the upcoming MWC in Barcelona.

Anyway, these are all just some teasers and they can mean literally anything. At least we won't have to wait much longer before we learn the truth.

The other new Motorola smartphone is called Motorola DEFY MINI and, as the name suggest is a more compact version of the popular Motorola DEFY. It comes with a 3.2" HVGA display, sitting under a sheet of Gorilla Glass and offers water and dust resistance.

Motorola XT535 – another new rugged Defy?
It looks like Motorola has yet another new rugged Android Gingerbread smartphone, besides the Defy Mini XT320 that was officially announced yesterday.

Meet the Motorola XT535, recently spotted in China, and looking almost like the above-mentioned Defy Mini.

The XT535 is bigger, though (measuring 115.0x58.0x11.9 mm), and has a FWVGA (854 x 480) display, not an HVGA one. Also, the unannounced handset has a 5MP rear camera instead of a 3.2MP one, and a Qualcomm MSM7227A processor - possibly clocked at 800MHz (the Defy Mini only has a 600MHz CPU).

Unfortunately, for now we don't know what Motorola's plans regarding the XT535 are. It could announce it as a new member of the Defy family, of course. We'll let you know when we hear more on this.

US HTC Flyer (WiFi, 3G) Getting Android 3.2 Update
It looks like the US versions of the HTC Flyer are finally getting the upgrade to Android 3.2. Previously on Gingerbread, HTC promised we'd eventually be seeing Honeycomb for the 7 inch tablet later down the line. Of course, they had to customize the OS to add support for their scribe technology and their custom user interface so don't be too mad that it took so long.

We've seen two different reports (one in our inbox and one over at AndroidForums.com) of people receiving the upgrade and Engadget says that the 3G version is getting it. No word on the EVO View 4G at this time but we can't imagine it will be too far behind. Be sure to check for the update within your settings menu and let us know if you were able to pull it down! [Thanks Logan!]

Nokia Ace with LTE and Windows Phone to be released by AT&T on March 18, Lumia 710 headed to Verizon

Nokia Ace with LTE and Windows Phone to be released by AT&T on March 18, Lumia 710 headed to Verizon
Here's some more news about upcoming Windows Phones. Earlier today we told you that two smartphones made by HTC and Samsung would arrive in early 2012 in the US sporting both Windows Phone and LTE support. And now we have more information – a lot more in fact, courtesy of Paul Thurrott's WinSuperSite.

The aforementioned devices (HTC Radiant and Samsung Mendel or Mandel) will be joined in the US by the Nokia Ace – also an LTE-capable handset. This isn't the first time we've heard about the Ace – it was always supposed to be Nokia's first flagship smartphone to run Microsoft's new operating system.

The Nokia Ace, alongside the HTC and Samsung phones, will all be launched by AT&T in the first half of next year. The Nokia Ace in fact has an already set release date: March 18, 2012. All these three handsets will be announced during CES next month.

Despite a purported leaked roadmap surfacing yesterday which claimed that an update to Windows Phone (called Tango) would be released soon, Paul says it's unclear at the moment if all of these devices will indeed launch alongside an OS update. Windows Phone Tango has always been rumored to focus on supporting lower-end offerings, and LTE support kind of doesn't fit into that mantra. That said, Tango may very well come with both LTE and cheaper phone support, as one past rumor said it would. We'll just have to wait and see.

If you're wondering whether Verizon will be getting any hot Windows Phone action next year, wonder no more. It will, but nowhere near as much as AT&T. Big Red will sell the midrange Nokia Lumia 710, starting in April. But keep in mind that it doesn't have LTE connectivity.

Samsung Galaxy S III and Galaxy 3D coming in 2012?
The Samsung Galaxy S series devices were generally a phenomenal success throughout the world and can be considered as one of the success stories for the Korean electronics giant. With such level of success, there is an obvious need to keep the ball rolling. Hence, we are not surprised that Samsung is rumored to be working on Galaxy S III.

The third generation device from Galaxy S series is said to come with a quad-core processor, 720p HD Super AMOLED Plus display and of course, Android 4.0 operating system a.k.a the Ice Cream Sandwich. The device is expected to be announced at the upcoming Mobile World Congress in February 2012 and will be available for consumers sometime in the second quarter of the year.

As the same time, Samsung is said to be working on 3D technology for its smartphones. However, it is not known for now whether the 3D functionality – which covers not only playback but also photo and video recording - will be fitted into Galaxy S III or otherwise. Nevertheless, a brand new 3D-capable device called Galaxy S 3D might be hitting the market around the same time as Galaxy S III.

This is not the first Samsung 3D phone as they have released 3D-capable phone called W960 last year in Korea. Of course, being a Galaxy-class device, we expect that the new rumored Galaxy S 3D will be as good as its other siblings in the series. Well, we shall find out how true this rumor is in two months' time. Till then, fathom this news with a bag full of salt.

I hope the new article about Samsung Galaxy S III and Galaxy 3D coming in 2012? can increase your knowledge about the latest development in mobile phone. The price of the phone depending on the brand, model and specifications.

ITG xpPhone 2 is out, promises Windows 7x8 in a smartphone

The following are recent articles about ITG xpPhone 2 is out, promises Windows 7x8 in a smartphone, please read below.
ITG xpPhone 2 is out, promises Windows 7x8 in a smartphone
Intel is looking forward to powering Android-based phones with its Medfield platform, but ITG still haven’t given up on the dream of running a proper desktop OS on mobile phones - namely, the Windows 7/Windows 8 OSes.

Yep, it's the new version of the xpPhone, the xpPhone 2, and it was just released in China with Windows 7 (it will jump to Windows 8 when Microsoft releases it). It's a device that ITG call a "post-smartphone" and have their sights set on beating the iPhone 4S and the other big names in the smartphone world (but the iPhone specifically).

The ITG xpPhone 2 packs a 1.6GHz processor (a single-core Atom Z530), which can be upgraded to 2GHz (it's unclear how), plus 2GB of RAM, which is double what current smartphone flagships have. But then, Windows 7 uses more RAM than a mobile platform.

The xpPhone 2 has a 112GB of SSD storage, which ITG brags is way more than what current smartphones offer (we have to admit, though that 32GB internal storage plus 64GB microSDXC get pretty close).

Anyway, you also get things like a VGA port through an adapter (yes, real VGA port). With the xpPhone 2 ITG claims the smallest notebook PC in the world title. This we can believe actually - the xpPhone 2 measures 140mm X 73mm X 17.5mm. The screen measures 4.3", but the resolution is unclear (Windows 8 is said to require at least 1024 x 768 pixels), and there's a slide-out QWERTY keyboard.

Supporting Windows 8 is great too - it's where Microsoft and its partners are heading with their phones and the xpPhone 2 can probably run the beta OS right now. Plus, it will run any app for Windows 7 (though probably not very fast) and all Windows 8 apps too (Win 8 on ARM won't run x86 apps).

Hook it up to a keyboard, a mouse and an external monitor and you have something that works a lot like a traditional office PC. Even those laptop docks for Motorola phones don't provide that familiar desktop experience (Android just wasn't designed for that). This should be good for tech-unsavvy people who can't learn to control Android, we suppose.

The ITG xpPhone 2 is a curious device for sure - but the press release is more interesting still. It's good for a laugh and raises quite a few eyebrows too.
I hope the new article about ITG xpPhone 2 is out, promises Windows 7x8 in a smartphone can increase your knowledge about the latest development in mobile phone. The price of the phone depending on the brand, model and specifications.

Motorola RAZR gets a software update in Europe
Those of you who are in Europe and own a Motorola RAZR should be happy to know that a software update is on its way to your devices (if it hasn't arrived already). This isn't going to make your RAZR run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, but it does bring with it many enhancements, and as such we recommend you apply it as soon as possible.

The update is obviously going to reach your RAZR over-the-air. So your phone should just notify you when it's available (if it hasn't done so already). Then you can install it without using a computer. After applying the update, your phone will be on software version 651.73.30.

The update will be out in the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, and the UK. Additionally, SFR customers in France and T-Mobile customers in Germany are also going to receive it.

It improves camera performance, adds a new Smart Rule trigger (‘motion detection'), comes with new security features, improves call performance, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, and makes localisations better. The update also comes with the Evernote app preinstalled.

Full details about the update are available here at Motorola.
