Back in September 2011 we've reported that Telstra would launch the HTC Holiday as Australia's first 4G LTE handset. And it will, it's just that the final name of the device has been changed to HTC Velocity.

According to Ausdroid, the Velocity could become available at Telstra as soon as January 24, "for $0 upfront on Telstra's $79 cap."

Also released in the US as the HTC Vivid, the Velocity features a 4.5 inch qHD (960 x 540) display, Sense UI, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8MP rear camera with 1080p video recording, and 1.3MP front-facing camera.
