Sony continues to experience its non-Ericsson (pending regulatory approval) lineup of smartphones with Sony Xperia NX and Sony Xperia arco HD. The handsets have been announced for the Japanese market and are spin-offs of other Sony models. The Xperia NX is a Japan-bound Sony Xperia S and features an identical spec sheet. The Xperia arco HD is the followup to the original Sony Ericsson Xperia arco. It earns its HD tag from the inclusion of a 720p Reality Display, the same featured on the Xperia S and Ion.
